Here are all the STL files we issue. You'll find calibration tests, example STLs (when used to explain a concept, what better way to see it than blown up in glorious 3D?) and any other miscellaneous 3D files used or mentioned in our guides. And you'll find Dink, and his accessories.

Under Calibration Tests you'll find the STL files we use in our masterclasses these are to calibrate certain aspects of your 3D prints.

Calibration Test STLs

Bed Levelling Squares

Use these bed levelling squares along side our advanced bed levelling masterclass to take you to absolute bed levelling perfection.

The more levelled your bed is the better chance at getting that perfect first layer.

Find the squares below in different sizes to suit your needs.

Ultimate Temperature Tower

Use this specially designed temperature tower to truly optimize for the perfect extrusion temperature.

Complete with bridge sections, snap-off sections (to test layer adhesion) and cones - you'll be able to evaluate your tower accurately.

Instead of temperatures for each layer, we've assigned letters so you can customize depending on material, or temperature range.

Printing Thin Walls

Being able to print thin walls goes against what slicers “want” you to do - so it really broadens the spectrum of what you can print to effectively override this and gain more control over your prints.

This STL's tests details as well as a selection of wall thicknesses. You'll also find the flowrate cube and the height test STL Denis shows in his masterclass.

Micro Retraction

We've shown this in Sliced preview mode so you can get a feel for how fast this retraction test prints. It only takes 12 minutes!

Uses very little filament, so you can print many in quick succession to optimize faster.

Example / Demo STLs

Tolerance / Fitment Calibration

This is a print that is designed to test how accurate your printing tolerances are, with the aim to be able to make / design print-in-place moving components.

The better tuned in your printer, the more of these pins you'll be able to spin. This will give you a good idea of what is possible with your printer once dialed in, and give you a better idea when designing your own prints of how much tolerance to give.

Dragon

This one is what it says on the tin!

We've used this dragon in our Meshmixer mini series as well as showing how to use custom supports, it's a great STL if you want to challenge yourself.

D.ink

This is D.ink, our lovable print-in-place robot.

Complete with articulated arms, legs and useful snap-fit hands so you can accessorize.

Prints with just 15g of filament!

Simplified Bottom

This is a demo example of a simplified bottom. This is where you add a 1 layer thick skin to the bottom of a print with a complex base (like in this image) so that you get much lower chance of failure when printing.

After printing, simply remove the "skin" with a sharp scalpel (being very careful).

Thin Wall Demo

While we don't recommend trying to print this STL, the purpose is so you can view it up close to demo the options for thin wall thicknesses with a 0.4mm sized nozzle.

You'll notice they increase by multiples of 0.4mm. You should always stick to wall thicknesses in multiples of your nozzle width (or slightly over to allow for tolerances).
